Jermaine Rogers Run The Jewels QOTSA Foo Fighters Posters Release

No comments:

Jermaine is dropping a bunch of posters Friday and here are the details.

It's opening night! It's an adventure! Jermaine Rogers was commissioned by Foo Fighters to create the print for the opening show of their 2017 tour: it was also the very first show at The Anthem, a brand new venue in Washington, DC. This 8-color screen print measures 24x16 inches. Jermaine drew inspiration from the popular line of children's books called 'Choose Your Own Adventure'.

Stardream Opal Edition - Printed on rich pearlescent Stardream Opal stock. From an edition of only 100 pieces.

Lava Foil Edition - Printed on holographic Lava Foil. From an edition of only 25 pieces.

Born to burn...it's the modern man of rock-and-roll and his band. Jermaine was commissioned to create the limited edition print for the recent Queens Of The Stone Age show in Kansas City. The print measures 30x20 inches and is a twisted take on a famous classic album cover: can you guess which one? (Bruce Springsteen for the younger readers)

Stardream Opal Edition - Printed on rich pearlescent Stardream Opal stock. From an edition of only 75 pieces.

Stardream Gold Edition - Printed on pearlescent Stardream Gold stock. From an edition of only 25 pieces.

RUN THE JEWELS (ACL LIVE EDITION & ART PRINT) Jermaine was commissioned by El-P and Killer Mike to create the limited edition print for the historic Austin City Limits Live taping of Run The Jewels. The artwork was a riff on the cult film, 'The Warriors'.

RTJ ACL Live SHOW EDITION -The show edition of the piece measures 28x24 inches and was printed on white gallery stock, from an edition of 300 pieces. These sold out at the show. We have a VERY limited amount of these pieces that we held back. They are available first come, first served. These prints come with a mystery mini-print, a 20.00 value (not necessarily an RTJ mini-print: it could be anything)!

RTJ 'OPAL' ART PRINT -This 7-color 'Opal' art print edition measures 28x24 inches and is screen printed on pearlescent Stardream Opal stock. It is signed and numbered by Jermaine Rogers, from an extremely limited edition of only 60 pieces.

All of the above pieces will be released for sale via JermaineRogers.com Friday October 20th, 2017 AT: 3:00 PM EASTERN (12 NOON PACIFIC)

Foo Fighters Print By James Flames Release

No comments:

James Flames has been waiting a long time to work with one of his very favorite bands, the Foo Fighters.

James on the poster design
The illustration focuses on this dude and his guitar – he’s plugged-in to the most incredible wall of amplifiers ever seen. He lets it rip, and it’s like he creates a sonic boom that pushes a wave of amplifiers to crest right above him. To me, the best thing about a Foo Fighters show is the feeling that the band is pushing it so hard, that everything can almost fall apart at any moment. But it stays together, hinged on that momentum towards chaos, and the pure power of the performance is unforgettable. That was the vibe I wanted to create with this drawing.
James hand printed these posters with the brightest and most saturated inks, using two different split-fountains (a screen-printing technique to blend multiple colors across the image).

And he also printed two very limited HoloFoil variants. One is the "Hot Dots" HoloFoil, and the other is "Diamonds" HoloFoil, with a pattern that moves and evoles as the light bends around it. They're both pretty sick.

Everything will be available Thursday, October 19th at 1pm Eastern at JamesFlames.com

Crosshair Design Wilco Future Islands and More Posters

No comments:

Crosshair Design was been commissioned to create another poster for Chicago's Wilco, for their performance earlier this month in Birmingham. Wilco has been one of Crosshair's earliest and most consistent supporters over the years and Dan feels it's always a thrill to work with them. Also hot off the press is a new print for Future Islands, for their recent, packed show at the Empty Bottle, part of the venue's series of special 25th anniversary concerts. There's a new one from Flatstock Europe in Hamburg, Germany, where Dan was in attendance alongside an incomparable cast of international rock art heavyweights. And finally, a special one for the Songs: Chicago show, marking the release of a new biography of Dan's old friend and bandmate Jason Molina.
